The Society puts on a programme of lectures during the academic year, and from time to time organises conferences. The theme or topic may cover any aspect of Algerian history, culture or life.

Speakers have come from several countries and from varied backgrounds, and have included artists, business people, diplomats, academics and writers.
The programme of talks and activities run during the academic year, October to June. See above for the current programme.

The Society welcomes proposals from prospective speakers; please contact the Secretary to suggest a talk.
Meetings are usually held in collaboration with the Middle East Centre, London School of Economics & Political Science, located at:
Houghton Street,
London WC2A 2AE.
